About Us

Bonner County Homeless Task Force was founded in 1991 and opened our first shelter in Sandpoint, Idaho in 1994.

We provide transitional housing and program management services to homeless families and victims of domestic violence in Bonner County, located in Idaho’s northern panhandle. Our goal is to help individuals and families who are homeless, in danger of becoming homeless, or who lack adequate housing reach self-sufficiency and independent living in a safe and supportive environment.

Bonner Homeless Transitions is staffed by two Program Managers, a Facilities Specialist and a book keeper. It’s activities are governed by a Board of Directors consisting of community members.

Bonner Homeless Transitions is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization which is funded by grants and your tax deductible gifts.

Mission Statement

The mission of Bonner Homeless Transitions is to help homeless families and victims of domestic violence develop self sufficiency and improve the quality of their lives.

Core Values

Inherent with the values of Bonner Homeless Transitions is the understanding that clients, staff, volunteers and donors must be treated with fairness and honesty and that the programs are administered with consistent high standards of ethical and moral conduct. All staff and volunteers are asked to sign a Values Statement.

Bonner Homeless Transitions is accountable for the wise, prudent and effective use of all funds contributed by grants as well as those received from the community and various benefactors who, by contributing, have made a commitment to a better future for our clients. It is our intention to do so in a completely transparent way for the benefit of our clients, community, stakeholders and benefactors.
